Discount Tire Direct done me right

Friday night: After a week of texting my friend about buying tires for our Toyota trucks my mom finally let me place an order. My friend had ordered them earlier in the week and I wasn't about to have him tow me out of every one of our next adventures. Discount Tire direct was having a $40 rebate on the Falken Rocky Mountian all terrain tires. Normally from my local discount tire these cost $89 a tire. Discount Tire Direct had them for $82.98 a tire which was $72.98 after the instant rebate plus no sales tax. I placed my order and went to bed knowing I got a deal.

Saturday morning: I had just finished my final race in my high school cross county career (I barley qualified for this race and was happy just to be there). I got back to my car and checked my phone to see that there had been a problem with my order and that I had to call DTD at my earliest convenience. I called immediately and after staying on hold for a few minuets was told they were out of Falken Rocky Mountian A/T and they were discontinued so they wont be coming back in stock. The man on the phone asked me to hold again while he talked to his manager.

He came back on the line and offered to upgrade me to Falken Wild Peaks for no extra cost (including the warranty certificates that I bought). I'm extremely happy at this point. Despite looking almost identical to the Rocky Mountians the Wild Peaks are a $120 tire that I was getting for $73!

I am an extremely happy customer and will be using DTD for all my future tire needs. And regular Discount Tire is good too. They are always friendly at my local store and sometimes give spontaneous discounts (my dad got discounted warranties on his tires just for having to wait a little longer than expected.)

Ill post a review of the tires once I get them mounted and compare them to my bald Dupont Radial Rovers.
